  • Presentations: As we start the student presentations, keep the following in mind:
    • Include slide numbers on every slide.
    • Include the paper’s title, authors, venue, and publication date.
    • Do not include a “Thank You” slide.
    • Put all potential discussion questions on a single slide and end your presentation on this slide. This makes it easier to refer back to the questions during discussion.
    • If you are presenting the first paper, set up before class and be ready to start promptly at 9:15 am. Lower the screen, turn on the projector, and make sure your presentation is in Slide Show View or Play Mode.
    • We have approximately 35 minutes per paper, including discussion. Aim for a 20-minute presentation, leaving about 15 minutes for questions and discussion.
    • Have the complete paper open and readily accessible so that we can refer to it during the discussion.
    • Send me a PDF of your slides, one slide per page, by 8:45 am on the day you are presenting.
